It seemed that way. If I over-reacted, I apologize, as this is supposed to be a friendly board with adults.

I did not retorque the head, figured honestly to just drive this engine down to it's last, as the number of neglected maintenance items have been unaffordable for some time. The cylinder gasket has a leak to one of the combustion chambers, lots of billowy fog until warmed up and metals seal the gap a little. Yesterday to drive 17 miles required 2 gallons of water. Loss of power is appreciable and can only be moved now in Low, with very rough idle.

My plan is to remain here until next week, have my wife bring the GMC truck here, tow the Raider home, take a few days off to gather parts and repair what I can on the Raider. We're expecting lots of $$ from tax return and other source, but not until next week. Untimely is all this rain and my leaking RV roof, just the front corner over my bed. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
