Does anyone know how much flow the stock pump is? I have an old Ford I've been fixing up and am planning on putting power steering as well as hydroboost brakes on. Was going to use my spare montero pump bot not sure if it has enough flow to run steering and the hydroboost unit.

9.6 cc/rev.

I don't have the sizes of the two pulleys to get the driven speed, or I'd calc the liters per minute for you. I'll leave that as an exercise for the student...

Bet the mitsu pump is too small. It's a little slow on a hydraulic winch, too.

I recall Curtis talking about issues when he did his 4.3 swap. The gearbox didn't like the Chevy PS pump, IIRC and it was because it varied pressure with RPMs. Do some searching under Landraider and 4.3. I think the Mitsu pump stays constant regardless of RPMs, but I may have it backerds. My whole house has influenza Bsomethinernuther so I ain't thinkin so clear...

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...
