I know a few of you have been asking again for the faceplates. I now have some free time and can cut some out. Let me know what you need. I can cut anything you can think of. I have the mounting holes drawn in so those wont have to be located anymore. HERE are some photos of a few samples. I am currently running a single DIN on top and a wal mart cobra cb on the bottom right and three switches on the bottom left. The DIN is located so you can use the existing mounts for the radio on top.
$25 bare aluminum shipped, $35 painted flat black or any other color spraycan I can find around that you may want.
RECON45 is using one of my plates and I think LordTrunks? I cant remember for sure. I take paypal and USPS money orders or Montero parts.

Ill cut one and take a photo of it. I have a ton of extra metal right now. Ill also take a pic of the one in my truck so you can see another configuration.

John,

Are you willing to make something for, dare I say it, a Land Cruiser? I can take measurements and send them your way, but I need a filler piece with a cutout for a row of ARB sized switches.

Thanks,
Jon

John,

Personally I'm with you on having the custom panel cut for the switches but if there's any reason that can't be done you can always opt for Contura Switch Panels from a variety of sources.<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

What model landcruiser is it? 55 or 60? Are you wanting to put a piece down where the pocket is below the radio on a 60? Recut the whole panel that surrounds that area and the AC controls? I work with a guy that owns a 60 and just ran out and looked at it, Im not some Yota expert. If you send me photos and very specific measurements, such as corner radii and things like that, yes I can. It would even be great if you could take a photo with a piece of paper in the general shape of what you want in front of the area you want cut. If you draw it up in autocad and send me the .dxf or .dwg file I can put it right into the machine and cut it out. Either way is fine. Any panel that is first run for other vehicles I'll cut for free and tweak it until it is right, you pay shipping. I cant do anything compound 3D shape just flat panels. I can cut a flat panel and then you can bend it of course. Specify the thickness Aluminum you want also. My panels have been .050 and have worked fine. I am trying to find a way to post the CAD drawings up so anyone can use what I already have. I am working on figuring out the engraving, we just upgraded the program and so far its been ok but not great. We also just bought a new system of label making that can do some pretty trick stuff that Ill be trying out.

Can you please PM me a phone number so we can talk? I hate 'lectron yapping for complex conversations. Thanks!

EDIT: I wanted to add that, yes it is for an FJ60. Mine has the radio pocket cut into the dash pad and the spare pocket down by the heater controls. I want a flat plate to cover the hole for the pocket. I plan to drill the plastic and put nut-serts in so that the switch panel is removable with 4 screws. It should be a pretty easy project, but if you have a better idea that would integrate better, I'm all ears. If we talk on the phone, I have another project you may, or may not, be interested in.

Ray, I fully intend to use this panel for a row of Carling switches with engraved/backlit covers labeled with the intended use. Thanks for the comment.

John, you can post an autocad drawing by hitting, File, then Export, then select a file format like .bmp to save it in, then host that image and link it to here.
