Got a great deal on a couple of Yaesu VX-7s now all I need is more of the Bay Area crew either get their license or radios to get to use them on the trail

I fully advocate people taking the steps to receive licensed amateur radio operator status.

But, there is a potential that shifting frequencies to the 15x.xxx range gets people out of the license required status and puts them in competition with a different category.

There are many businesses that operate in that range and the majority of the OHV race communications occur in that range.

Just a though and open for discussion...

And, the VX-7 does operate in that range...

Leo these were used and I got them cheaper than what I payed for my used VX-6s so there arent others available. Do U use Commander I could use a csv file while I'm waiting for them to come in

yeah i used the vx commander. but mine is filled with stuff i've used over the years for rallies and work related freqs (which i got laid off from).

rest is local repeaters you can get from websites around here.

i was gonna bring up a thread asking for people to list their programmed memories on their radios...
