If you're gonna fix it, turbo it at the same time. On the smog issue, I'd use all the donor emission parts, including the underhood vapor valves and canister, and all the donor ignition. If the donor year is equal to the recipient year or newer, the state should be happy. I'd just smile and look at them and say "It's the same 4G54B engine and it hooked up just like the old one <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.
