Did they make a front LSD in an 87? If not what would work in it? Thanks Mike

No LSD or traction aid of any kind was offered from the factory, in any year, Montero or Raider. Others have swapped in an LSD from a Starion or Conquest. It has been discussed quite a bit. Several people have done very detailed write-ups on it. Do a bit of searching and you should turn up a good amount of reading material that'll point you in the right direction. Good luck <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> EDIT: Here's the write up that I was referring too.

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Given how the swb shudders in a tight turn with a rear lsd, I'd want to reduce the preload on the lsd in the front, maybe take out some plates/friction discs, or add more friction modifier to make it more slippery. Search under KevinC and front lsd for a writeup he did several years ago.
Not responsible for advice not taken...
