I have cooled off on buying a car for now. :-P But thanks for the tip on the tires and cylinder walls. My brother mentioned if it hadn't been driven the seals are probably starting to dry up too. Probably not a good idea to purchase any car that hasn't been driven in 5+ years.

I go through this phase about every 3 months. I have a 2007 Galant that only has 30,000 miles - I don't know why I am in such a hurry to swap it out. I guess I would prefer my wife and kids to be in something bigger if an accident occurred, but I don't absolutely need something right away.

kewlynx, the Silverado is actually a company truck - I am sure if I looked around I could find lots wrong with it. And I think I jinxed it, after driving 100 miles to pick up some tires/wheels for the Montero, I now have a tapping that I need to look at. Kinda sounds like a diesel... Not good. :-P

I was attending college to become a Toyota tech, but never completed because I ran out of money. So I am actually pretty fond of all Toyota's. I really like the 4runner but I have a real hard time finding a 3rd row option, and when I do they have 100,000 miles. I know that isn't a lot for a Toyota, but I guess it has been brainwashed into me to never buy a vehicle with over 100,000 miles if you can help it.

I don't know, I guess I will start looking again in around 3-4 months. I will let you know what turns up then. :-P
