Used a coat hanger (and help from my wife) to hold compression and got it done. How much would it have cost KYB to include a nylon band. On the Camry the included strut retainer nuts were of such poor quality they stripped with correct torque and I had to re-use originals. As well the retainer flats were incorrectly machined too large for the flats on the strut shaft and I could not torque properly as the shaft would slip in the retainer. Emails to KYB were ignored.

Why couldn't KYB work smarter so I wouldn't have to work harder?
