So, an old friend once told me:
"Smile, it could be worse."
Sure enough, I smiled and things got worse!

I've found that the Best thing to do with said sock is to start slinging it around. I'm talking huge circles.

Geez, thanks guys. I just about laughed out loud in the middle of class because of your "advice" and the sage "@sses" from which it came. That was a close one...
Curtis, I've been slinging $hit at white paper (writing a thesis) for a few months, and they give me a wide berth around here.
Grad school will be wrapped up in two week's time. I can't wait...

My thesis title: "A Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis of the Data Cognition Error Rate as Measured at the Two-, Three-, and Poly-phase Interfaces Between Financial and Accountancy Professionals and Line Management". The conclusion, when translated from MBA speak to real English, boiled down to: "Management doesn't know $hit, and still can't recognize $hit even after you point it out to them in detail with pictures and diagrams. Their nose must be rubbed in it, like a wayward puppy."

Eddy, someday I'll show you a simple way to take a liability, put it on the books as an asset and fool otherwise smart bankers.
Fortunately, when I saw it, I didn't make the investment. It WAS a slick move, though.
Hang in there, Jon - in CA, just remember to burn incense and serve Starbucks latte while you're presenting your paper..... done deal.

It's the first thing they teach you in MBA finance courses. Basic to the MBA mindset. I've got a better one. The non-existant warehouse trick. Run up the "inventory" there to boost the bottom line when you need it (increased ending inventory decreases cost of goods sold, and profit goes up), and run it "down" when you need to hide profits from the revenoors...

Thanks for the laughs fellas.
Reuben, I can only imagine, but I'll know soon enough.
The M.S. in Operations Research is no joke. It's been a very interesting course of study (for a math nerd like me), but I'm ready to finish it up. I was thinking about eventually going back for a Ph.D, but right now I can't think passed next week.
Frank, incense doesn't do much for people at the Navy school...but, coffee does!
