Getting the Wheeling Fever
I own 2 1st gen 4x4 trucks 1 83 and 1 85 both diesel . I need a new sway bar. Part # MB109677 shows compatible with all 4x4's 83-94 on trucks and Montero from 91-94. Any ideas for aftermarket sources?? I did find a aftermarket bar for the 2wd truck but not the 4wd <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Your talking about the sway bar? or just the links? For the links, I spent $15 for a set of them from advance in the little aftermarket section they have.

I normally get everything from the dealer. I need the whole bar and its Obsolete from Mitsubishi. Mine has a bow in it and the aftermarket ones are thicker

Take the bent one to a truck spring shop and get them to anneal it and straighten it and retemper the metal.

I have a few sway bars, one from an 86 Montero, another from a 90 4-door. You're welcome to try them out.

They are what keeps you from pegging the inclinometer on a freeway entrance ramp spiral and lifting the inside front wheel off the ground at the same time...

Angelo's truck looks like it is going to fall over just turning a corner.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.
