Hey all, I finally had about 10 minutes each in some local wrecking yards and have some parts reports/addresses.
G & R Auto Parts in Red Bluff has a 2wd Dodge D50 extended cab, some good blue interior parts, straight front sheet metal, nice black grille and bumper, no drivetrain, good glass
Truck World Auto and Truck Dismantlers in Gerber has three Monteros: 89 LS with really nice blue seats, flawless silver body panels, looks like a timing belt project that was never finished; 95 LS with fabulous tan cloth seats, a chrome Jaos brush guard, but otherwise an equipment poor vehicle, gold metallic body panels, 3L; 96 SR with 3.5L, 4.636 gears and locked rear axle minus calipers, forgot to look for the compressor, sunroof model, trashed leather interior, tow hitch.
All-Star Auto Recycling, Inc. in Corning has a white 95SR rollover with a complete and running 3.5L.
I collected business cards and will provide further data through PM if anyone desires. These are not DIY yards and I did not check prices on anything, only made quick mental notes.

A big thanks to Russell - there's a LOT of rigs including mine that would have been a lot tougher project if not for his efforts.

Took another ride today:
Hess Brothers Auto Dismantling, Red Bluff, has a single white 89 Montero 4-door LS placed upon a stack. Business closed today, but peered over and through their fence. Tan interior looks complete, bouncy seat base still in place.
Red Bluff Auto Dismantling [color:"blue"](DIY yard)[/color] has an 85 Montero with LSD, tan interior, bouncy seat base, stainless drip rail trim, oil pressure gauge (with psi only) and inclinometer (still has fluid), nice chrome grill and headlight surrounds; 85 Dodge Ram50, (2) 87 Dodge D50, and a a few MM. One of the D50s is a longbed with a very nice fiberglass utility shell - all 2wd p/u's.
Cheers.

Hey russell, i know this is a bit off topic, but i found that two piece bumper you were looking for, it looks like its on a very early model montero, missing end caps, but its chrome and in decent shape. its eight am my time, and im calling them in just a minute. I want the grille, never seen one like it! I hope it will fit my later model gen one diesel. If i get you this bumper and ship it down to you, will you snag me the chrome brush guard and work a swap? TTYL.

I suppose i could just IM you, but im not that smart, so i just called the guy with the early model monty, and he is asking for two fifty for the whole enchilada. I think i will have to step up to it, and yank at least the bumper and grille. The body is pretty rusty, so we will likely scrap the rest of it, but if there are any cool pieces i should grab before it hits the crusher, let me know. Im not an early monty afficianado. I am running down there tomorrow, so i will take images of the bumper for you. Its def the two piece, drop me a driect email at urbandwelling@gmail.com and ill get you the photos.

Aw jeeez! I guess i should also post to everyone, i have bought and fiddled with and sold off and scrapped about six of these in the last three months. I have a giant pile of parts, and i have made a new buddy who knows these things inside out, and has tons of parts as well. He specifically likes the diesels, so d50's, maxes, starions, he had a starion turbo diesel.....hes a nut, but very knowledgable. If you need stuff, russell is an old hand, but ive got access to a pile as well. I will try and get russell a list and pics so he can tell me what i have got to offer. We pretty much are only working with gen One monteros. Thats all from me for a while, i promise!

How many hats and custom parts would I need to trade for the V6 monty LSD? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
They do fit the 9" rear from the V6 D50's, right?
