Well, a broken fles plate or starter missalignment will certainly make them selves aware.

Well, I want to plan for 37s. I am still a little concerned about power and breakage. By the way I checked into tires yesterday and BFG appears to not make 37" KM2s

I see a cream puff 99 at a stealer, but they want like 8K, and frankly with 115K they might get it. Photo clearly shows locker switch and warning sticker. Keep in mind 99 requires a gear change to be drivable off-road. I also see a 97, but would have to call. Are you wanting a DOHC or will a SOHC work? Have a price range? Yeah. 8K is WAY out of budget for me. There was a 97 here for $5200, and that is still too steep for my budget right now. Plus it was Maroon. yuck. Trying to stay under 4K. DOHC or SOHC doesn't matter at this point. I'm going to regear no matter which one I eventually get. I'll PM you my number so we can meet up next week, and definitely let me know if you need something brought back this way. I'll be driving back to PHX on Friday the 10th.

You could get something with a heavier sidewall (Pitbull, Maxxis, Toyo, Interco) I use Toyo but i'll be going back to the oldschool goodyears just because they are $175 each for the 37" MT/R and $90 for the military surplus standard M/T. The old goodyears suck but at that price i can shred 2 a year and not feel bad about it plus Toyo doesn't make tires for the 16.5's i'm going to. Want to get on the cheapie goodyear bandwagon with me and Pat? I'll get you a quote on some custom beadlock wheels to go with your 37's OLDSCHOOL GOODYEARS!!!!! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.trailworthyfab.com/images/D/groovedodgreen.jpg)

The Sierras kill tires so quick, and I hate wasting 1-2 days looking for a spare in the middle of nowhere. I was looking forward to the new KM2 sidewalls....90.00 is tempting....but thicker sidewalls make more sense. 37s are available in a 17" rim, so I suppose I could go to a 17" wagon wheel.

Jay is all set with a 111K cream puff I looked at for him. How come that never happens when I need a Montero

Can't thank you enough Lloyd! You don't mess around, do you? Wire transfer to the owner won't be complete until Monday, so I'll let you know when he gets it. Greatly appreciate your assistance, and offering to look after it until I get there. Looking forward to meeting you next week. And getting Chinese at my favorite place!

I don't even know if your truck got worked on today but tomorrow it will for sure. I'll call you or text once we're live!
I kind of feel the same way about the goodyears, $90 and i don't have to care if one gets trashed or burned out driving home with a bent idler, then at the same time a tire failure or 2 could ruin a wheeling trip. With the tires i have now i don't worry about sharp rocks or anything jabbing into my sidewalls just makes for better traction, I haven't even been bringing a spare lately. I guess it's a trade, $90 tires i don't care about that might fail on the trail or $300+ tires that i won't likely have a problem with offroad but if i burn one or two up driving home with haggard steering I'm hurting.
