I found a big Motorized Travel Prohibited sign blocking Green Mtn. Road at the North end of Beasore Rd, as well as stone "fences" and fiber "No Motorized Vehicles" posts blocking the majority of the unnamed off-shoots of Beasore where I used to hike and camp. The trail to the top of Red Top which was formerly an open fire road is now a foot trail only, with a boulder placed in the middle of the old road. Most of the hot springs South of Mono Lake are now fenced off, as are several of the roads leading to them. Hot Creek has the same parking lots it's had for years but the river and all of the springs are fenced off with signs that threaten citation if you cross the fence. The old mining capillaries on 375 West of Rachel, NV are now fenced or have fiber "ROAD CLOSED" posts. The river area of Paria, UT is all off limits now, including the road that used to follow the river and the road over to the old town ruins. Many of the other roads in that area, whose names I don't know - all closed. All travel in the "Moon" area of Escalante National Monument is restricted to Smoky Mountain Road and Left Hand Collet Canyon road has what looks like a permanent "ROAD CLOSED" sign at the upper end. I did not see the lower end. I'm sick of seeing signs everywhere I go. Signs look like litter to me and I have a "pack it out" policy on that.

Somewhat related, Zion park is now completely overrun and impossible to enjoy, sorry I don't want to wait in line to get on an articulated bus with 500 other people so I can hear David Van Driessen recite the history of the park for 55 minutes as I ride to the trailhead where I'm greeted by a thousand signs telling me precisely what I'm not allowed to do everywhere I look.

Frustrating vacation to say the least..
