Wow, i need to hurry up
Me and Paj have to go buy some steel for our trucks, so i?ll pick up the last little bit i need for Lloyds frame and bumper.
Lloyd, your winch seems too tall to mount to the top of the frame rails so i think it will have to go in between like the rest of us. Unless you want me to just go ahead and mount the plate on top and you can relocate your oil cooler when you install the winch. The interference is maybe an inch, I don't want to just weld the plate and have you deal with that later unless you're prepared and willing to make it work. I'm not going to relocate the cooler because i'm not a 100% it needs to be moved, I just know that my mock up winch i made is a box (sized to the winch measurements you gave me) and it hits the cooler but the winch will be a different shape and might clear because of that. Make sense?

The goal is to have this engine totally back together by the end of this weekend.
Toast, lets get some more of that fab work done on lloyds truck so we can move it over here. We need to get it done so when lloyd comes to pick it up we can take him wheeling to give it a run.
And just so everyone knows, It takes about 3 hours to do the valve stem seals on one head and then about 20 min to do the other.

It is definately an original Skunk Works Creation! Looks better here then on text messaging. It is way more low profile then I thought from the phone pictures. Looks like winch will be easy to get to as well. Spacers will be high on the priority list.....
1996 SR From the Area 51 Skunk Works. 37"BFG Tires, 5" lift, Rock Track 4:1 Case, Tom Woods Drive Shafts, Oasis Air, Front ARB, lifted gas tank, T-max winch and lots of stuff that cost too much.

The flat bumper is nice as well, for when I am being a [censored] and want 10 people on my bumper to keep from flipping over Very creative bumper, definately an amazing job!

It's much better in person, I had a crappy shadow this morning. The fit is just about perfect and will be perfect when it's bolted on, but your body is not square to the frame i found out. It should settle into it's correct place once it?s driven and wheeled, if not we'll have to loosen the body bolts and give it a push. The approach angle is awesome, in front of the tire the bottom is over 35" from the ground and maybe 7" away from the body! The front frame section is turning out pretty cool too, basically upside down of what mine is on the '99. So about 2" more clearance than i have in the center (not counting the difference with the 37's).
Hope to get the frame done tomorrow and i'll take more pictures.
