How is the progress?

I took some of the tarnish off the key by squeezing some jack in the box ketchup on it and letting it sit there for a bunch of minutes.

Edit:
Overnight in Del Inferno sauce (from Del Taco) seems to have really brought out a sheen in the key, that the Jack in the Box ketchup couldn't quite mustard.

Lloyd, I know you're sorta interested in the progress the other guys are making in that Montero or whatever, but what really keeps you up at night is how this key is going to feel in your hands.

Behold its majesty.

The reluctor ring is done, and the pinions are ready to be shipped, I will get them to the PO tomorrow so tom woods can let us know the final out come of the driveshafts. Once the drive shafts are confirmed with tom we can button that up. Pretty much at that point we need to get all of the welding crap to my house to weld up all the shifters.

Looks like hot sauce is where the magic really happens. I'm sure some boring explanation involving acids and such could be posited but I like to think the hot sauce molecules go all Slim Jim on the tarnish instead.

The mitsu flanges have been shipped out to Tom Woods today. Sounds like they should have them on saturday. Therefore probably monday they will look at them and see what they can do about machining them to fit the 1310 flanges. Hopefully we get some good news back here soon and get those shafts shipped home. Hopefully I can get pat over soon so he can slap the reluctor in so we can do the final bolt down on the T-case. Once we do that we should be able to give the truck a test fire. I need to get lloyds optima to the O'reillys to put a charge on it still. That thing is dead.

How is the battery in the Montero? I had meant for the Optima to be a spare back behind the seat with the compressor...

Well its possible I never got the origanal battery from your monty. I will have to check with the rest of the guys to see if the battery was left at WW house when it was originally delivered. There was never a battery when I brought it to my house so I just assumed the optima I picked up from the guy that delivered the stuff he got from you was suppose to be the battery for it. I will get that figured out though. .

When would be good for the rest of you AZ crewers to come over to tackle some of the next projects? Lots of little things to go over. Would anybody be down for this weekend since no one is going to flaggstaff?

We also need to make a junk yard run. I would be down for this weekend so we can get the front 4:90's. Anybody down to give me a hand?

Only things left at my house are a couple plastic jugs of fluid (antifreeze, gear oil), a freshly hot sauce polished key, and the xjack. And a split-open bag of Racing Litter I haven't swept up yet.

Since I never had a 2nd gen, I might be sorta useless.. but I am willing to grunt and turn wrenches if you put them in my hands. Sat or sun, I can do half a day.
