Dude, we are inches away from the test drive. I have been taking a break from it due to work and just needing the break. We should be starting to hit it hard again. The last time I worked on it we discovered the torque converter would not spin freely to line up the bolts to the flex plate. This now causes me to pull tranny or motor, not cool . Very frustrating day for me so I needed to back off to get my mind cleared. We will get back to it here though. Adam has the tranny mount ready to go and I need to get the torque converter bolts in and its ready for a test drive.

LT and I won't be here this weekend, But I wanted to give everybody a heads up. July 7th I want to finish getting this thing ready for a test drive. I think we will pull the tranny back and see if we can get the torque converter to break free and spin. We also have the compressor to mount in back as well and wire up. I will buy some beers and maybe grill or do food in someway.
Lloyd, I think as long as the truck drives well and there's no other hickups, we are pretty much left with doing just R&P and the front ARB. How do you want to work getting the gears for this thing? We have spent pretty much the last of the cash you sent. I will get some sort of an idea and a run down of anything else there is but for now thats all I can think of. We'll get your bearings repacked to when we tear down the front end. I'm sure they've never been done before.

As far as setting up R&P's goes our resident gear setter upper guy is out of town for weeks at a time, not sure he's going to want to be setting up gears with what little time he has at home. We might want to search for another option, I haven't set up any gears in years and don't feel confident in doing Lloyds. Anyone?

I never said we needed someone to set up the ring and pinion. I just need to know what we are doing as far as buying them. I can set up the gears, we just need the gears.

Get me a cost for the RIng and Pinons, and anything else we need. We were going junk yard front?
But I think R&P are the last major item at least. I think we still have compressor mounting, a little bit of armor work, then see what gremlins pop up as we test it.
Oh, did we get the coil spacers in?

Junk yard front R&P for sure. The rear set up we will order from the dealer. I believe they were under $400. Ring and pinion is pretty much the next major expense and project. With putting the ARB in the front it could possibly be a slight bit more difficult, just because we have never installed one before. But I can't imagine it being truely that difficult. Mounting the compressor is gonna be be pretty easy, just a matter of finding the best spot for it. As far as armor and finishing the front bumper we need to gather up more steel. Me and adam have been talking about picking up some steel, maybe you and adam can figure out all what you have left and decide how much steel you will need and we can pick everything up at one shot. As far as the coil spacers go, those have to wait until I get the truck out of the garage. If I put anymore height to your truck it won't be leaving my garage .
My hope is to get some people over the first weekend of july to give me a hand with the tranny so we can give it a road test, then the next weekend we can give it the true test. Box canyon is only 30 min from my house .
