I was all trying to be cool and work on my front axle today and I managed to mangle up my fingers on both of my hands. I'm even typing this with my right thumb and two of my left fingers because the rest are all wrecked up and bloody. Work safe guys!!

Ouch. That suuuuucks. Get well soon, buddy. Never been that banged up, but did catch a 12mm box wrench with my left eye once. One of these days, I'll learn to use safety glasses.

My pictures from yesterday.

I've been considering rattle canning Rocinante. If it comes out half as nice as this...

So I hear this one guy doesn't like this other guy, and that's why you need to lube your HIDs.

Today I learned TWO ways to remove axles from a Montero.

Debating the difference between doing it for the first time years or paying someone else to do it.

Okay. I'll just hold the entire thing up while you get that last bolt out...

Keep holding the entire thing up while I get the impact un-stuck. Keep holding it up. Keeeeep hooolding.

Oh look. The rookie had his dashpot connected to constant vacuum, a leaky depression chamber hose, a super-tight throttle cable, and screwed all the screws up.

I had a great time yesterday, guys. Looking forward to the next one. And seeing what these rigs can actually do! Thanks for letting me be part of the group.

I'd like to see a full turn out one day at the British Open or somewhere there is a parking lot and everyone brings all their monteros. As in I bring my 2, LT brings his 2, PA_JERO's 3, JBFP's 3, Clay's 2, Clay's GF's 1, Stokerexplosion's 1 , Canyonero 1, RyanY 1, Brian's 1, Bullworker's 3 then however many motero has, Josh has 2, other josh has 1, Heath has some, HAztoys has at least 1. There are a bunch of Montero's hanging around this state

We had a good turn out especially for being out that far, RMO wins greatest distance traveled and breakfast beer award!

diffs are out and getting the bearings pulled/repressed on with arb locker and 4.90s gotta do close to the same for the rear. We got the gps speedo install finalized once diffs are back in we'll take a spin and see how close it reads. compressor install is about 50% we gotta mount the tank and that gauge with the switch along with the valving\hose for the arb and tank. toasty has some more welding to do so its coming along i think the compressor stuff is gonna be the next biggest project which really isn't bad but i think it may end up taking a good part of a day to do. i'm not sure what all adam has finish up but i think thats the last stop after we get all the other stuff buttoned up.

Another wrench fest next weekend on sunday the 17th of march. Make sure you wear green in honor of St. Patrick's day. Things are getting close. April is just around the corner and we are VERY close to wrapping this up. The truck is pretty much ready for re-assembly at this point. Lets get the diffs in and see if we can get Pat and Jay to finish getting the compressor wired in. Maybe we can get a big group again on this thing so we can give a good push to wrap this up. Again I will supply Water, Dew, and in honor of our green day I will have some beers here for those who choose to have some. Should I get a keg???
