It's surprising how much I can finish in a day when there isn't so many people. Makes it easier to work around the truck cause your not in somebody else's way. With Jay, we don't screw around. We have been known to knock some work out pretty quick.

And by the way, if anyone wants to join us in Silverton over the Hoilidays, they are welcome to. With another hot, dry winter the wheeling is likely to be great.

Well, Things are looking up for the old truck lloyd. We got it back on all 4's. Got the rear 3rd member all set back up with 4:90's and installed. The front passenger caliper was having an issue bolting back on cause for some reason the bolt got a little buggered. Jay solved that problem though and we got the caliper and tire back on. We also removed and reinstalled the steering set up (THE CORRECT WAY) to those who previously installed it, or attempted to anyway.

Here is a checklist that I have.

- Fill diff's with gear oil
- install cotter pins in all ball joints/tie rods
- Breather tub for transfer case
- Breather for front diff
- Block off all Vacuum lines from old front CAD
- Run air line for front ARB and install switch
- Finish wiring speedo deal
- finish wiring up compressor and mount it up
- Weld rear bumper
- install skid plates
- Fab up 4wd shifter box to fit montero
- Tuck back wiring from factory transfer case
- Getto alignment
- Final adjustment to torsion bars
- figure out high idle issue
- Coil spacers

Most of these projects will take 20 or 30 min a piece but I'm just trying to avoid forgetting anything since there has been a lot of working on something then working on something else then going back to something we were working on weeks or months ago.

Any chance there is anybody available next weekend on sunday? Lots to do and some of us will be out of town the following weekend. Would be nice to have some of this wrapped up if we can get some people over.

Seems like a solid list. A few of those items might take a little longer, but many are quickies. Lets see where things get this Sunday, and if it is looking good maybe we can plan that weekend to fly out. I am finally getting busy at work, and work a number of Saturdays, so will have to plan way in advance....

Most of the wiring and fab work will take the longest but that's not really my area so I'm not sure how long it will take to do. I will help wrap up some of the small things so It can get back on the road.

On a side note. You will not have wheel sensors for the ABS on the front anymore. One wheel sensor disintegrated when we finally got it removed and the other one was completely seized on when we tried to remove it. I'm not so sure what would happen with the ABS with the new transfer case anyhow but more than likely we will just remove the ABS light unless you want to get the abs sensors replaced then we can just leave the light in it will just be on.

Well I certainly like the ABS, but big tires dont allow for much lock up.What do those suckers sell for anyways?

The sensors are insanely expensive. I had driven my '95 for years before I even knew my system was disabled. I only found out when I had the gauge cluster apart and noticed missing bulbs. When I replaced them, turns out one of them was the bright yellow/orange ABS light. I took it back out.

Are you sitting down?

From Southwest Mitsubishi, $312.26 for the left front and $328.62 for the right front, not including tax or shipping. Stupid, crazy money.

I drove mine for 2 1/2 years with no ABS after accidentally pulling the wires out of the left front sensor and seeing what a new one would cost. I finally happened upon a sensor in a wrecking yard a few months ago and installed it a few weeks ago - only paid $20 for the sensor.
