Ok, will do on photos. Going to try and get done what is critical before then. Also have to deal with the registration issue. Called the department to work on that....and of course as is typical in NM they never called me back

Yes, he did not call me back, which surprises me a bit. I am sure I will hear something Monday.

I concur. Also want to show the world how this group does the Sierras.

This is an incredible story and I think everyone who comes across it agrees. There's something to be said about the type of people who pull together over such a long period of time to make something like this happen. It's what being a gearhead is all about.

Doing spark plugs on these motors isn't exactly easy, very time consuming for someone who isn't 100% familiar with them. Make sure if you does a full tune up he replaces them with NGK or Denso Iridiums.

The timing belt is a few teeth off, so we have to tear the motor down and reset the timing belt. Going to charge me 6hrs instead of 8 since the belt is like new and does not need replaced. I don't think there would be any engine damage, especially as strong as it was running, but I definitely developed a nasty miss along the way home. Man I wish these engines were not so fickle. Thankfully this shop has some experience with these challenging timing belts. Also going to look at plugs while we are in there....

Going pluck down my 300.00 Tomorrow and start the title process as well
