I've had Mitsubishi hydraulic tensioners weaken over time. Time the engine, get about 2 trips out of it before timing falls off to the point where it won't run anymore. Not so much to cause damage, unless you consider being unable to take your date home from that concert on the far side of town, damaging, and then having a buddy help you push the car past members of the band to stash it in the Hilton parking lot so it won't get towed before you can get back to it after work the next day.

Sorry to hear about this news. Irritating speed bump.

Picked it up today, they were really hammered and did not get the alignment done, has to go in again Monday. Seems to be running ok now though. Ran up to start the title process.....A long ways to go, but on the way!

The Coil Spacers are in, and the sliders are cut as well.....Taking it back for alignment, cruise control, and he is checking into a spare tire for me, as well as last skid plate fab costs....

Oh? Which skid plate? I need one for under the engine, xcase, and gas tank. Can he make extras?

I am lacking gas tank and trans. My trans plate is different because we had to flip the cross member for the Rubicon case. Gas tank might be the same, my tank is cut and raised....Then there would be shipping$$$$$

I can't even imagine how much taller that truck is going to sit with 2 more inches added to the back. I thought it was tall already. Better buy a ladder to keep in it.

BTW, how's the leg/knee doing?

Don't notice the 2" much, just creates a forward rake that will disappear when loaded down. Have to make sure I like the handling. Knee gets better each week....but still healing....

Winch cable on today. Was going to do more then the winds went crazy....A ground rod anchor makes a great cable hold by the way <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
