Try cleaning the o2 sensor really good if it comes back. Also, did your mechanic ever fix the misfire problem that you had before? Or was the slipped timing the cause of the misfire code? I wouldn't completely rule out the fact the plugs or wires or even coils packs could be failing. Keep us updated.

Lloyd I was thinking bout your cruise control have you mech or you check its pretty easy but since I had to ground what was the wire to the center diff detent to trick the locker computer into thinking the truck was in 4x4 so the locker would work.

Look under the driver side of the truck you will see a wire that is bolted on to the under body this may sound kinda general but once you see the loom/harness its coming from its not gonna have that "this is factory" look to it just unbolt it if the center diff light on your dash stops blinking that is the right wire if it is still flashing you undid the wrong wire.

after you have done that try your cruise control if it works just have your mech put a switch in for it problem solved. Even if if that doesn't fix it you could have him do if for you anyway I know you were telling me you kinda worried bout the kids hitting the locker switch when you were cruising down the hiway slamming a tall frosty brew <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> and not catch them in time.

The timing belt repair took care of the misfire, and did plugs at the same time. Engine runs very strong now, so the code really surprised me. Did idle high though.

A little too late on the Cruise idea, kind of jacked the switch up messing with it so much, but I will test that theory when the new one gets here. So cruise is blocked out in 4x4? Or maybe just the indecision is causing the issue....Will check it out when I get the new switch. Going to run out of room for switches on this rig <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> Drilled out the one next to the cig for the fan switch. I guess heater seat blanks are next.

Back to work this morning to finish the back up fan wiring, breather valve, silicone those connectors, hi-lift mount.....

Ok, crawled around and think I found that wire, only obvious one. Breather valves are hard to find, seems like everyone is using a Toyota one 90930-03136. Wont have it for silverton, but will order Monday. That front one routed to the engine bay should be high enough.....then again, some of my worst water events have been in Silverton!

Need more wire stuff and my silicon expired 7 years ago, yikes.

Its probably gonna just end up being that 02 sensor then. Try cleaning it before you buy a new one.

All right if the light comes back on I will check the O2, they really look corroded in there. Its the first one that usually fails, right? Another fiasco, finished the fan and was about to work on the high lift mount, and BAM the back tail gate handle breaks! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> Already had it loaded with crap, what a PIA. I have it apart, hopefully the local Mistu freaks can next day in a new one. That plastic is rotted as hell.

Door handle in stock! Now that is a miracle! Only 75.00 though <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> Guess cheaper then placing an over night order, and definitely not a part I would trust from a junk yard.

Also, for my roof rack, I am thinking of just a basket behind the sunroof, I think that might be enough.

By the way, as much as I hated where the compressor and tank were mounted, they are growing on me. Pretty nice to just pop open the window, grab the hose, plug in a tool and go to work. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Moving along, not where I want to be for Silverton quite, isn't that how it always is? Found another bad rub spot today. But will get back, re-group and start plugging away for the Sierras.

Will let you know how testing goes. With Poughkipsee open we can give her a bit of hardcore action at high altitude.
