Will do. I tell you, I really like the 4.90 right now as well, seems to just feel right. Lets see how a high mountain road trip goes with the engine firing on all 3.5 squirrels today.

Well, I don't think it's near 6K, but it'll pull 4-4500 rpm all day long. I like to use the "power" setting on the transmission, too, for better shifting. Lock out O/D on anything steep. Of course I still have 4.6x gears and that makes my trans gearing really wide spaced pushing 35's.

I was thinking that as well John. 4.90 with 37's seem to be really good, I think you would like them. The 3.0 craved the 5:29, but I am not convinced 35-37 on the 3.5 DOHC is needed. Up by Purgatory Ski area there is a section you are lucky to make 35mph in a Lambo Now that is steep.

Well Lloyd ran into problems with this very topic. While powering up a steep hill something happened but i'm not sure what. He first called and said he toasted his motor BUT when i talked to him again he had gotten it running enough to drive it to a motel....

The first conversation was a little weird because the phone was cutting in and out so those of you who got the roached motor text that was what i was going by. Let's hope that's not the case, anyone think of anything that could cause it to run like crap after a long steep hill climb?

Better signal here, on my phone. About 90% sure major damage. But hardto tell right now. Someone is grabbing the titan and a trailer in the morning, will drop at shop Friday morning.

i'm guessing bad coil pack or bad spark plug boot if lloyd got it running to limp back to hotel chances are it isn't timing but anything is possible nothing like a good ole bearing cap letting loose on you to ruin a weekend. Now i'm sure you had your shop put in a new timing tensioner when they redid the timing right lloyd?

Ok, been a nightmare of epic proportions. One place with a car hauler that is open in the Western hemisphere and the girl was passed working a holiday and refused rent. Waited a few hours more , complained to uhaul, made a bogus reservation
..still fought us.....anyhow our rescue tow is on the way. Hopefully we can get it on the trailer, may have to winch it on. Yes we drove it a few blocks to the motel, with it shutting of constantly and ratling like crazy . Sounds like at least top end damage. I suggested the tensioner, but they said it looked ok. If that is the problem it should be warranty.
