No, I know I am dreaming...Budget is definitely a wreck since we poured so much in lately, like thousands and our 600.00 non-vacation <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />. I was trying to get everything dialed in 100%.
Going to start figuring out why the Titan is over heating today.
Another thought is if I towed the truck out there I could hang around for a work weekend and help out where I can, then maybe the same on the tail end. Not the biggest help in the world, but I think it was helpful being there on the last work day. And with my leg getting better...
Other thought is I still have a couple of outstanding fab items that we might try to get done at the same time, so I don't have to pay full retail here. Rear bumper(thinking just a tube for air), the two skids, trim the rub spot..

Someone on this forum swapped in a 3.5 SOHC into their DOHC truck can't remember who though. those motors can be had cheap and low milage still. I think you loose 10 horse and gain 10 ftlbs of torque, That's the nearest drop in I got mine from an '03 or '04 with 44k miles for under $1500. Other swaps would require a full shop and money but with a swap you could get into the 300 horse range.

Let me troll the net for awhile. Using Kevins block we are looking at 800.00 in gaskets, head work, ect. So if I can find a similar deal for a unit we can more or less drop in....

That's the funny thing The average Diamante 3.5 sells for 450.00 used! 750.00 is high actually. I assume its because the Montero ones are more rare?
