We do need to come up with a plan for lloyd soon. I have had a lot of things that have come up that have me a bit strapped down at the moment due to family stuff. I also have 2 cars in need of some issues taken care of. The misses car has a bad brake booster slowly getting worse that needs to get taken care of (pricey repair). And a blown head gasket on the montero, plus the neglect of my 88 also. I'm leaving this up to toasty to work out a game plan and coordinate with you when.

If we are going the head replacement route This is what you will need.

- Head gasket kit #MD972340 x 1
- Head bolts #MD065959 x 16
- Head bolt washers #MD020733 x 16

Heads will run somewhere in the 250 or 300 range to get resurfaced, pressure tested, and a full valve job.

Between parts and the reman'd heads your looking somewhere in the $600.00 area.

If we are going to go through all this work we will replace your timing belt and components that go along with it and water pump. There are several kits on Rock auto that Would suit fine for this. I personally ordered the Beck / arnley kit without pump and ordered an Aisan water pump separately. If were gonna dig in then we are going to make sure we do it all. This way it doesn't need anything but fluid flushes for the next 60K miles.
