11:30am New Mexico time and the Skunk Works crew is headed home. It was EPIC, we worked until after 10:00pm Friday night, had the heads off. Cylinders were fine, but we found a HUGE piece of steel in one. It seems it was the pressed in sleeves for the butterfly's that finished me off. Saturday, all the usual problems, missing bolts, broken connectors, missing parts...I literally never stopped running for parts. Then...FAILURE! Hard cranking, no bueno. At 1:00am I went to bed and the crew decided to pull the plenum back off. Something miss assembled? Wrong firing order????Noooooo, one cam was installed by the MACHINE SHOP BACKWARDS!!! Can you say, start all over again? By 7:00am(yes, everyone but the driver worked all night) it was ready to fire back up, and after break in runs great. Once again the Mitsu community proved just how amazing it is, thanks for everything.....and get some sleep. And I will get back to work fine tuning and building this monster. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
