11:30am New Mexico time and the Skunk Works crew is headed home. It was EPIC, we worked until after 10:00pm Friday night, had the heads off. Cylinders were fine, but we found a HUGE piece of steel in one. It seems it was the pressed in sleeves for the butterfly's that finished me off. Saturday, all the usual problems, missing bolts, broken connectors, missing parts...I literally never stopped running for parts. Then...FAILURE! Hard cranking, no bueno. At 1:00am I went to bed and the crew decided to pull the plenum back off. Something miss assembled? Wrong firing order????Noooooo, one cam was installed by the MACHINE SHOP BACKWARDS!!! Can you say, start all over again? By 7:00am(yes, everyone but the driver worked all night) it was ready to fire back up, and after break in runs great. Once again the Mitsu community proved just how amazing it is, thanks for everything.....and get some sleep. And I will get back to work fine tuning and building this monster.

Well, I have back up lights....but a broken window latch. How are those related? I decided to do some things while the tools were out, so I got those back up lights on, put the battery tie down back on again, tracked down a pinched air line, started looking into the hot shower...when Jeremiah locked himself in with the keys NOW, I am done for the weekend Thanks again crew

Thanks for the heads up, thought we had that nailed down on the first assembly. Must have disappeared during round 2 at 4:00am.

Hate to say it, but I have a misfire on #4 cylinder now. Did not think the truck was running quite right or idling right, and the check engine light came on. Code says #4 cylinder miss fire. Pulled the cover, plug and coil, and don't see anything obviously wrong. Thinking about getting that harness and a coil sent over. Guess start there?

number 4 is the middle cylinder on the driver side so could be the boot or coil and it would be a good idea to replace that part of the harness since it is damaged

Wait, you just basically rebuilt the entire top end of the engine but you didn't replace the plugs and wires? Test the coils?

Just checking.

We replaced the plugs, but not the wires. We had a plug on the wire harness connecting to the plugs break, and another kind of broke a little while ago, but they seem to be ok. How do you test the coil?
