I see that. They have the coil as well. Guess I could start with that.

How do you test the coil? Newb. Get you some FSM download happening and read up on it. I just replaced mine instead. John B.

It's more common that the actual coil boot that fails below the coil. Worst case you throw a bunch of new parts at it you'll know what it's not, lets hope your injectors are clean and clear those things get expensive for that motor.

Maybe it's time to have the ultrasonically cleaned? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />

The boot looked ok, but I will check it closely for cracks. I had some place out East do the cleaning on my 3.0 injectors, and that worked out well. If the coil does not clear it up I could try some BG 44K on that theory. I had a nasty problem with an injector sticking on the Red Montero when I first bought it and that cleared it up. Seems like an injector would have to be awfully plugged to cause a miss fire though. Now, here is something else, seems like the plug was a bit whitish to me, indicated a lean fuel condition....so maybe a can of BG is on tap...

Went ahead and ordered some 44K off Amazon, too bad they don't have instant drone delivery yet <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I was not sure, I hate running around for it. Too late now, the drone is on the way!
