Not the coil, came today and did not change. Still have the slight surge in idle due to the miss. BG should be here Monday....

Check for vacuum leaks with an unlit propane torch. A surge or smooth-out of idle shows you where it is. Cheap n easy check.

That's a good idea, always a chance a hose was torn or missed at 4:00am. Not sure it would trigger a specific cylinder miss fire though?

Went to Auto Zone for a new Oil Sensor, and some connectors, not to mentioned some spray foam for the rear quarter panels....and the light went out. I am leaning towards the injector, maybe gummed after sitting so long. Idle is better more often now, but not all the time...Definitely feel better. Will get that stuff in and try to run through a tank next week as best I can.(busy work schedule)

Been busy at times, but do what I can. Cylinder 4 miss fire still stuck as a code although the light is off. Going to re-set it today and see if it comes back. I do feel more power as I start to bottom out the first tank of fuel with BG. Fixed all the air leaks yesterday....some problems with air line routing. Can you believe I could still air up tires with multiple large air leaks? That's a compressor! Going to clean up the foam insulation aftermath mess today <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" /> I don't recall this from last time it ran, but sure seems a little slow to shift up when cold....

Geesh, Esther went to run around and it would not start. Sure looking like the battery may be roasted already....I know the last one sat for a year, but not this one. Wonder if the alternator is over charging or something?

I really think its the battery, so much for consumer reports. Apparently die hards are just as bas as they ever have been.

Once you have the battery charged get it tested, if it tests good put it in the truck and have the charging system tested. If it tests bad, get a replacement and then have the charging system tested.

I really thing its the battery, I was getting 14.2 off the Alternator. I have no idea why Die Hard is so highly rated, a quick search shows everyone is tossing them out every few months....argghh

I now buy all my batteries from WalMart. They're under $100 for a three year full replacement. I don't have the truck here at the moment, but you can get a larger size battery in a Gen 2 with a slight modification to the tray.
I remember your issue with Optima batteries not too long ago. I recently read a tech article on charging AGM batteries that are very discharged. Apparently most chargers can't handle the way an AGM battery needs to have charge applied, so the suggestion that was made was to use jumper cables from a known, charged battery to the discharged AGM battery, then connect the charger to the regular battery and charge them that way. Worth a try anyway, in case you run into that again.
