Originally I did not realize I was running into the same flawed technology. I was really shocked when the battery was not only dead, but FLAT DEAD the other day. I did have a booboo a week before when the compressor stayed on all night, because we did not wire to be only engine on enabled unfortunately...but the trucked fired right up in the morning no struggle.( I guess I licked the air leaks) But maybe that little engine off drain killed the delicate battery design...Not good for off-road.

The sears ones are replaced for free as well, but damn. Autozone batteries die after about 3 or so years and you get a pretty good kick back. Just want something that will last. This one was only a couple of months.

The only awesome thing to do is go to batteries plus, tell them exactly what you're doing and they will hook you up but it's not cheap.

Been a few days since I charged it up, and it fired right up. Weird....

I may try lifeline batteries we use them at work and they get used 24/7 and run dead everyday and recharged i've only seen a few blow up(smells like rotten eggs before they go) and we have alot of them, we use them in hydraulic lifts that use a electric motor to run the pump.

Went to attempt to drive it out of town and she pretty much blew up. Sounded like every rod knocking. Smoking from losing oil.....She's gone. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I say it again, just cannot fix these Mits engines when they wear out. Swapping stuff to the Titan as I have people waiting on me 3 hrs from here.

Well, every Mitsu engine I have tried to repair major mechanical on the engine has failed,(4 vehicles, many tries) so I guess it should come as no surprise. Really I was just waiting to brave the failure. I was pretty negative because.

1. Started initially very badly.
2. Never started flawlessly.
3. Check engine light and stuck cylinder miss code same side as swallowed butterfly parts.
4. Power was NEVER the same as it was before munching the buttlerfly parts, almost felt like a 156HP 3.0 honestly.

Obviously the butterflys did deeper damage, despite the fact there was no metal in the oil. Or were the heads screwed up? I know Clearwater over bored heads killed the Red Montero engine.
