Isn't the Hyundai RWD Lambda v6 a swap candidate? 'cause... you can pick those up here in the US with like 10k miles on them and I bet it's a massive leap in reliability - the little the 3.3L one in old sorentos is good for 270 horsepower and 235lbs torque and I'm pretty sure it only goes up from there.

Hyundai has crate engines now too but $6k for the turbo 2.0 (with turbo) and $10k for the 3.8 Lambda is undoubtedly outside of budget - but damn a zero mile crate motor would mean butter smooth reliability even with a Wild Loyd behind the wheel. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
