all work welded done by me jennifer..look i know its not a full locker but its better than a open diff and will get you just as far as most trucks and not get stuck for the most part. the kia sportage can have some kind of better trackion now... with lsd..
the front is a lsd off the RX7 87 2nd gen with big axle
rear is the same. they both fit front and rear of the 97 sporty.
the rx7 has 2 axle types for the 1st and 2nd gen 1 is the smaller axle this is the 1st gen rx7 this don't fit.. the other is the larger one this is the 2nd gen rx7 that fits the 95-97 sporty's not sure on other year sporty's if its the same 3rd member im sure it will fit as well
remember depends on the year of sporty as well this will fit that i know 95-97 kia sportage 2.0 dohc and sohc
there are tons of locker types LSD's for the RX7 on ebay
Mazda RX-7 LSD (Late - '86-88 gxl)
here is the fit:::
86-88 gxl RX7 and miata non turbo
N/A limited Slips = 7" ring gear this one fits the sporty
86 Sport - clutch type
86-88 GXL non turbo - Clutch type <--------- fits kia sportage
88 GTU - Clutch type
89-90 GTUs - Viscous type
KAAZ and Mazdaspeed also have nice lsd's and some ebay ones THE UNIT WILL ALLOW FULL LOCK OF BOTH REAR WHEELS WHEN THROTTLE IS ON AND OFF
All turbos came with a limited slip but 8" ring gear will not fit the kia sporty.
the 7" ring gear fit perfect same size axle spline and bearings and all bolts in put your gear on and set back lash then ur done ready to go..
if you want to see the lsd in action ill post a vid here and youtube were going out to browns camp sat.. for mud and rocks to test out. the 4x4
