In New Jersey it is "UNLAWFUL" to pump your own gas. I could go to PA and pump my own for $.30 more a gallon plus a $3-4 toll. My mileage is back up to about 21mpg after new plugs and wires.

It's so damn cold up here in Fairbanks Alaska. 8 months of winter. I would love to have a gas attendant. My fingers freeze to the metal on the pump handle. Have to chip the ice from the gas spout door to get the damn thing open.
I would feel like royalty if someone served me.
Summers comming up here now. Temps been 40 degrees F. in the day now. Yeehaw...

Hh yes...I don't miss those days. I grew up in Whitehorse and know all about cold winters. Don't get much of that here in southern BC.
Been all over Alaska and there is one place that sticks out above all...Seward Alaska. Southern coast. Camped there when I was a teen. Good times.

Body Damage is Cool
I remember when traveling through Oregon a few years ago, we where traveling with some friends, I followed him into the gas station and he runs out to stop me from grabing the pump.
Anyway this is about milage lost, how about milage gained. I took off my MTs for the summer and put my AT back on. I think when my Kia was parked for a year and a half my ATs got flat spots so about 45-65 MPH they are realy bumpy. To try to smooth them out I have been playing with air presure. I tried 50psi, the max listed on the tire and went 240 miles on the next tank (I normaly go about 200-210) and it took 11 gallons to fill it. My speedometer is 16% off with my 31" tires so 240+16% is 278 miles, with 11 gallons I got a little over 25 MPG. I am pretty happy with that but the ride was still bumpy.

Body Damage is Cool
All,

I know where my mileage has gone, South. Hopefully with summer looming around the corner it will come back North, but until I can get the leak between my cylinders fixed I'm running on a lot less power and consuming fuel not only in trying to make up for what is lost, but also out the tail pipe as un burnt fuel.

When I get some time I'm going to pull off the head and check the head gasket for a break between the cylinders. Problem is, I've got so many other projects going right now and the weather is raining cats and dogs lately that we are doing everything we can to keep Noah and his stupid oversized boat from gloating.
