Even freak Kristol says so Al-qaeda loves us for our freedumbs Mr al-Hasidi admitted he had earlier fought against "the foreign invasion" in Afghanistan, before being "captured in 2002 in Peshwar, in Pakistan". He was later handed over to the US, and then held in Libya before being released in 2008. Stupid.

Since about that time, war had been literally continuous, though strictly speaking it had not always been the same war. For several months during his childhood there had been confused street fighting in London itself, some of which he remembered vividly. But to trace out the history of the whole period, to say who was fighting whom at any given moment, would have been utterly impossible, since no written record, and no spoken word, ever made mention of any other alignment than the existing one. At this moment, for example, in 1984 (if it was 1984), Oceania was at war with Eurasia and in alliance with Eastasia. In no public or private utterance was it ever admitted that the three powers had at any time been grouped along different lines. Actually, as Winston well knew, it was only four years since Oceania had been at war with Eastasia and in alliance with Eurasia. But that was merely a piece of furtive knowledge, which he happened to possess because his memory was not satisfactorily under control. Officially the change of partners had never happened. Oceania was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia. The enemy of the moment always represented absolute evil, and it followed that any past or future agreement with him was impossible. Orwell - 1984.

I was talking to my father just yesterday about our continuation of crap foreign policy, and said that Obama was "out bushing" Bush, and at least Bush had congressional approval etc. (I AM NOT A BUSH SUPPORTER)
Seems like the only "CHANGE" we have is more debt, some whacked out "Health care.....""PLAN"", and a progressive agenda.
Did you guys see the Daily Show skit about us "at Not War"?
At least if Stewart is a liberal, he does not automatically support the "liberals" blindly. I've got more respect for him than the morons that think anything Obama does is OK because he's a democrat.

I want to post this comic directly here, but I think its a bit too big for the forum setup. Huxley Vs Orwell ComicI feel whats going on today is more Brave New World than 1984, or maybe a slight mix depending on your location.

Him???
Seems to me that if both sides of the spectrum are against something (or someone), that is a place to seek the central view that is acceptable to the majority....

I admit I was exciting when Obama was elected. However, now I keep asking myself the same question; what has he changed? I feel he has been a sort of 'interim' president. You know, just like when your boss leaves and someone else take over until a replacement is found; just keep things ticking along as they were before and may be put a small personal stamp on things (health care).
When they announced they were 'helping' in Libya I just threw up my hands. I wish they would stop insulting our intelligence by BS'ing about why they are 'helping'. It's really pathetic when you think about it.
