I made the rear bumper myself. It's very sturdy. Bolted to the frame rails in the rear and on the side of the rails just behind the tire.

The mercedes actually went under my bumper and hit the frame rail ends that stick out about an inch. don't think she even touched the bumper. I took a look under her hood, the front upper cross member was bent and the radiator pushed back a few inches. I think it will be expensive to repair.

Yea it's probably the door that's bent. I'll get the tire off Saturday and take a look at it. If it's bad enough that I care about fixing it the easist way will be to have a beer or two and file a claim with her insurance company. Seems much easier than doing it myself. Although I'm not sure how the body shop will match the pin striping. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Last year I had somebody back into the side of my Monty- Put small dent on side and scraped tire- I decided to file claim against other driver (she was at fault). I got 800 bucks! Recently I was going to change insurance companies. My premiums would have been higher due to me filing a claim for someone elses stupidity.! So think hard if it's woth filing a claim...

Don't tell me, the driver (most likely a female?) was talking or texting on their cell phone? If so, they got what they deserved, good to see that your Monty came thru relatively untouched. Maybe there is some justice in the world after all...

It takes an uneducated person to make a statement like that, beside being sexist.

I see just as many men texting as females and way more men talking on the phone while driving than females.

Um, yeah, so it looks like I got the female part right..."uneducated and sexist"?...yeah, whatever dude...
