After thinking about it popping in a complete third in is starting to make more sense.My truck is a auto trans so it has some odd size ring and pinion...actually I can't remember the size I have to go check the new gears labels. I remember back then that Randy's ring and pinion was all the rage and had a good reputation. I'm assuming that hasn't changed?

The only odd size ring and pinion is 4.88's.... if you have factory 4.88's you can only replace with R&P with factory 4.88's.

If you want to use aftermarket gears, you need to get a "regular" differential pumpkin.
