Ya I Know...a grenade in the makings lol.
I think I bought the 4:88 gears set under the pretense that I wasn't going to use the truck in 4x4 (I have a 4x4 Chevy) until I finished the lift and 5:29 gear install. Sorta like just fix it to get it running but have a little more power on the freeway.
Well that's all changed now. If I fix the truck I'm sure in the heck going to want to run 4x4 lol.
I'm just going to order up a Marlin stock third and just pop it in sense it will be a long while more before I get to the lift. All these years and I never realized he was in southern Ca. I have family down in Fresno and might just call him up and arrange for my niece to pick it up and drive it up.
Well I guess if my brother in law doesn't want the 4:88 gear set Ill put them up in the sale thread to recover a few bucks to go towards the marlin third.
