Getting the Wheeling Fever
I am from NJ and I am traveling around the country right now and want to get my timing belt, plugs, and an oil leak taken care of. Do you know any good reputable shops or dealerships? The oil leak can wait a bit, burns about a qt. every 3000 or so miles.
Thanks.

Not in SF but a bit south of there in Fremont (~30 miles?) at a shop run by a guy Cory who's been doing a close friends cars for over 10 years now without any issues ever. He did the timing belt for my 96SR for ~$750 last year and was great to deal with. FWIW, he also does the auto work for the local PD which tells me he's definitely reputable.

Sorry, I don't know the name of his shop, but let me know if you want his number.

AJ's Auto Repair in Napa about 25 miles north of SF. He's the one that basically saved my Monty. Labor rate is low compared to the bay area and I've found the work he has done on 5 or 6 cars for me to be high quality. Russell has also met him and watched him work. I've found that he works with your best interests at heart. He recently replaced a suspected failed part that he had installed about 2 years ago at N/C because he felt it might have been substandard. Takes pride/responsibility for his work.
Works on more than a few cars that run at the speedway up there and also private collectors as well as for the regular type folks like us.

His number is 707-226-2805 (AJ)

I've watched him build from a one man mobile repair into a nice sized shop with a dyno.........Great guy too

About time you stopped hanging around with those runner up Phillies fans and visited the town that has the WS trophy!!
