Need a Spot
My keyless entry system just starting having some issues. Sometimes when I go to unlock the doors they'll unlock for a second and then immediately relock themselves. Other times it will happily unlock the driver's door but then it will do the crazy unlock/lock thing when I hit the button again to open the rest of the doors. The fob always locks the doors though. I replaced the battery in the remote and its still having that same problem. This problem isn't described in the FSM so I'm hoping someone here has an idea.

One of the actuators is sticking. Remove the door panels and watch them work while cycling the locks. The culprit should make itself apparent. Clean and lubricate with some white lithium or similar.

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

there is a sensor mechanism in the driver door actuator that is pushing past itself, replace the driver door actuator and problem solved.

or you can snip the sensor wire in the driver door actuator and it won't lock the doors when turning key in the keyhole, but everything else will work. be careful prying apart the actuator......junk yards are good place to get a good actuator.

Scottie is the rightest. The actuator wears over a jillion cycles, and the lock everything switch in the actuator that is supposed to trip all of the lock acutators is tripped at actuator rest position. It starts with exactly the behavior you describe, and ends up with the lock actuator in constant lock and even with the key, it is very difficult to unlock as you are fighting the actuator solenoid force. A temp "fix" until you can get at it is to pull the fuse for the pdl.

X2 on Scottie's info.

Someone on this forum has repaired their PDL solenoid before and posted about it, so if you feel like searching for it and you're fairly mechanically and creatively inclined, that's another option. IIRC, it involved disassembling the solenoid and fabricating some sort of stopper to prevent the solenoid from traveling too far.
