Need a Spot
I was having issues with my starter clicking and seemed to be pulling extra voltage(battery post burnt). Was going to take it off & rebuild it but could not figure out how to get the two bolts off. (Ticks me off to admit defeat). Decided to take it to the shop. Cleaned the cable ends and re-connected the cables. It now starts without a problem. Any ideas on what happened? Also how do you remove it for future reference if it happens again?

Some tips below:

With IFS, best bet is a long extension with the ratchet out in from of the a-arms to give you a straight shot at the bolt/nut.

x 2 Don't forget to disconnect your battery FIRST, or you'll be in for a rude and unsafe awakening.

They were not making a good conection, that is why they were burnt. 12 volts is 12 volts it cannot pull more then that.
