I got confused by the parts store's listing for replacement radiators having aluminum cores (although some cut it to one row).

I'd like to hear of the comparison between a stock rad and one the exact same size/row count made of aluminum cores. According to Griffin Rad., it takes a four or five row brass core to equal a two row alum., due to the higher heat transfer of aluminum. They also make hi-perf shrouds and screaming high flow fans, in case anybody has way too much money on their hands.

This is one of those thing in the car world that "I" ..."me"

Just never jived in my little racing world ...?.. What ever Griffin says ...

If the volumes not there for the coolant to stay in the radiator "long enough" the coolant can't loose enough heat to cool the motor ... The coolant is to hot and gets stuffed back into the motor making the motor just get hotter and hotter ..

You need to have volume of coolant lots of it ...Cooling fins "per inch" matter too...

Griffins is right ...sort of ...If all goes right ... But you John will get a aluminum two core radiator so hot it cant keep up ..A gas motors a "heat pump" remember ....?

And aluminum is better then brass at cooling ...Theres no drop in aluminum radiator for a Monty and the Mitsu brass radiator is good stuff ... Just needs a better core ...Aluminum $h1t breaks over bumps and you motocross that Monty of yours ..(When you taking me for a ride again ...)...Motors cost money keep them cool ..Start your mods with your Toys at the cooling system you will be happier in the end ..
