How do I solve that?

John B.

Thats easy do the one thing no one ever wants to do ...take a good brass rad down to a good radiator shop and pay good money to have a bigger radiator made ... The pump is good .. Its just the cheap fast food Auto zone stuff has shity impellers ... I blue print the pumps on all the race stuff I do that helps ... Euro car fans pull way to many amps to use... Dont buy the Euro car fan BS....its a fad

Not trying to sound like a jurk John ... Get the mother of all radiators made for the old girl and move on the next problem ...

I mostly agree with you on that Dave, I did the custom radiator and it did the job. That radiator sprung a leak a few months ago and now i'm going back to a new stock radiator and a monster fan to cool my new engine hoping to free up some low RPM torque and airflow. By the way how have you been?

I got confused by the parts store's listing for replacement radiators having aluminum cores (although some cut it to one row).

I'd like to hear of the comparison between a stock rad and one the exact same size/row count made of aluminum cores. According to Griffin Rad., it takes a four or five row brass core to equal a two row alum., due to the higher heat transfer of aluminum. They also make hi-perf shrouds and screaming high flow fans, in case anybody has way too much money on their hands.

I WISH I had too much money on my hands. I'd be done with this thing by now.

Anyway, another update. NEW SHOES!

Deets, Man! What are they? What size? Are those weights on the outside of the wheels?

I still don't have bushings for your intake plenum. No word yet.

They are 35x12.5x15 Cooper Discoverer STT on 15x10 steel rock crawler wheels. Yes those are wheel weights, and I will be ordering Dynabeads soon to get rid of them. They even put some on the inside (meaning toward the center of the truck) of the wheel too. Unsightly, but hopefully some beads will do the trick without the weights.

Thanks for the update on the bushings. Hopefully you'll hear back soon. I'll be working on transferring all of the little bits from my old heads to the new ones, and hopefully my block will be back next week. Then reassembly. I'm trying to get it back on the road before X-Mas.

This is one of those thing in the car world that "I" ..."me"

Just never jived in my little racing world ...?.. What ever Griffin says ...

If the volumes not there for the coolant to stay in the radiator "long enough" the coolant can't loose enough heat to cool the motor ... The coolant is to hot and gets stuffed back into the motor making the motor just get hotter and hotter ..

You need to have volume of coolant lots of it ...Cooling fins "per inch" matter too...

Griffins is right ...sort of ...If all goes right ... But you John will get a aluminum two core radiator so hot it cant keep up ..A gas motors a "heat pump" remember ....?

And aluminum is better then brass at cooling ...Theres no drop in aluminum radiator for a Monty and the Mitsu brass radiator is good stuff ... Just needs a better core ...Aluminum $h1t breaks over bumps and you motocross that Monty of yours ..(When you taking me for a ride again ...)...Motors cost money keep them cool ..Start your mods with your Toys at the cooling system you will be happier in the end ..

Yep. Both brands of tires that I was considering were back ordered for months, so after looking at a few other brands, and dealing with my own impatience, I got these. Good reviews online, so I hope they serve me well once I finally get off the pavement.
