Got the rest of my parts today. Looks like the only thing that is holding me up now is the cam gear, and the rear main seal housing. Looked up in ASA, and it looks like the same housing is on the SOHC, and the DOHC.

PAJ - Any way we can steal the one off of TOASTY's old engine so I can get started sooner? We can replace it with the one off of Lloyd's old engine when it gets back to your place, and I can steal the cam gear from it then. Getting the seal housing now will at least get the engine up on the stand so I can start picking away at it.

The short block is officially on the stand!

Had to run over the PAJ's house and steal another part off of TOASTY's old engine, but the rear seal and flywheel are on, and it's on the stand.

I know you guys are camping next weekend, and Super Bowl is the following weekend, but I'm putting the feelers out there to line up a mini-wrenching BBQ at my place.

I'm taking all of next week off to work on engine reassembly, and to take care of some needed landscaping before the HOA fines me into the poor house. My plan is to have the engine ready to go in by the end of the week, and possibly put the engine in on the 4th. Kevin's team isn't going to the SB this year, so he's in. Any other takers? I make a mean pulled pork sandwich!

Game probably won't start until 4:30pm after pre-game is over. That's my guess.

Worse comes to worse, we can eat BBQ pork and watch the game here on 60" of hi definition goodness.

I'm good for what ever really. I honestly don't THINK it should take very long to drop in and start bolting up. But, I've been wrong before.

Was a good day of wrenching. Not too many problems so far. Lots to do still, but good progress today!
