Michelin makes a great city driving tire that lasts a long time, but they cost a premium up front. The BFG's wear well for what they are, and if you're never leaving the pavement, you're just going for looks.

Here are a few choices in 31x10.5-15: Tire Rack Prices are pretty good too, depending on your shipping location relative to one of their warehouses. There's a chain here in AZ/Southwest that mounts/balances/rotates/rebalances-as-necessary for something like $18/tire for carry-in tires.
