In doing a bit of research on the web, I've found out a few things about the "3.8 Taurus" fan.

It seems that the same fan "concept" was used in the Taurus/Sable, the T-Bird, the Cougar/XR7, the Mark VIII, and the Continental. There may even be others I haven't found yet.

The fan was used with the 3.8, 3.8 SC, and the 4.6, and came in MANY motor/blade/diameter/CFM combinations.

The Amp requirements (start-up on High) are anywhere from 40 to 100, depending on which website you believe and which fan you have.

Interestingly, according to AllData (for the 1995 vehicle year), the "smallest" of the fans (Taurus/Sable, 3.8) run on a 50 amp fuse, while the T-Bird/Cougar/XR7/Continental (3.8, 3.8SC, 4.6) all use a 60 amp fuse, and the big boy ("strongest" motor, largest diameter, most CFM) in the Mark VIII only uses a 40 amp fuse.

Looks like this will make for some interesting research.

I will collude as much of the info together as I can, and ask that you guys amend it with information that I miss.
