I did not interpret it as anyone getting "called out" really.

Haztoys just posted that he did not agree with some of the gear set up advice about counting the # of turns on the pinion set up part.

Seems to me like it was just his opinion, and not anything inflammatory, or combative.

fwiw, I don't necc. agree with the turns counting part either, but it ought to get you somewhere in the ballpark.

Anyway... thank you guys for keeping it civil.

It's easy to come over the wrong way on a BBS... Just ask Big Blue.

Simple statement like "check the vacuum advance retard" can be taken a couple of ways. Check the vacuum advance, vacuum retard mechanism or check the vacuum advance, you retard.

Written communication is not that easy. I'm pretty sure nothing was meant.

I just saw this series of posts, and whatever WAS there has been edited.

I've met HazToys. Done business with him, and he's gone w-a-y out of the way to further the cause. He means well, believe me.

And I'll be checking my vacuum advance now.

Some of us are blessed with the ability to write what we mean, some of us are cursed with the inability to do so well, and I know people who can't write at all, really bright people, just wired a little different.

I understand David fine most of the time, and I'm sure he is as nice a guy as you could meet, he just doesn't say what he exactly means every time.

In order to have friends, you must allow them one fatal flaw. If your skin is too thin, you'll be friendless. Ain't none of us perfect, no how...
