Hi. Remember me? It's been a while since I've posted. Probably my longest silence ever. I have been lurking but quiet for much of the winter/spring on here, and Olbetsy has been mostly sitting, getting the nod for the commute once every 2 weeks or so, as I mile out my 91 Galant GSX awd (270k kms on it now). Our Moab trip was put off till next year, so my mods have been getting neglected for a while. And my Paj has been getting a well-deserved rest.

We have gotten out winter camping this year a few times:

Anyways, my garage interior is almost done now, so its soon back to working on the truck. I dragged out my parts last weekend to start the locker retrofit, but came up short: I realized that the guy who pulled my jy pieces got the wrong ECU - I ended up with the adjustable shocks control unit, instead of the locker one. Additionally, the sensor on the third itself is completely missing the wiring that goes to the control arm harness.

On the plus side, I did find the OE harness under the rear seat to plug in the compressor, and the wiring was buried in the dash for the button, so that's hooked up too. Gotta look at the positives I guess?

Anyone know if the sensor that screws into the diff with the pigtail on it is replaceable? Anyone gone around the locker ECU (retrofitting a gen I perhaps?) and would like to sell me their unused unit? It's time to get the old girl back in action again soon!

Should be back to a regular again pretty quick here (not that any of you guys are "regular"! LOL!)

Cheers
Phil

Speak for yourself. I live here. Just check out my post count! Good to see you back Phil. I finally got around to fitting my coil spring spacers in back. Fit like a GLOVE! I'm stoked it went in so easy. Also removed the rear anti-sway bars too.

As for those parts, I'd send it back if you can and ask him to pull the right part even emailing him an illustration of where it's supposed to go. Perhaps CAP510 can provide an actual pic since the inside of his rig is pretty sparse these days of creature comforts like carpet or 2nd/3rd row passenger seats.

Be careful getting back into that truck, I think there is a little fox in the front seat.
I might have a connector with a little pigtail left on it around, wait yes I just looked in the box and I do. If you can post a photo of the connector you have on the axle, Ill see if this one works.
I would find 12 volts at the locker control box connector and the wire that goes to the pump and jumper them. The pump will shut off at 6 psi. I retrofitted all the stuff minus the box into my Gen I. I rigged up and LED and used the switch in the axle for the ground. The little thing lights up when locked and goes out when unlocked.
That box is a waste of time and I think most people bypass the lockout features.
Like I said, post a pic of the connector on the axle housing. If this is the right connector you can have it for the price of shipping. And Ill need your life history and phone number and address for customs forms of course.
John

I thought Phil was something you levelled holes in the ground with...

Pressure test the actuator before you mess with wiring it up...

Another new guy here. Nice truck, I especially like the front bumper.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.
