Well, just to be clear - the guy(who was very nice and awesome, didn't catch his name) said to check the VIN and that could tell... but I was at work and didn't have it on hand to read off to him <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />.
so I checked last night, actually I can't find anything in the VIN that said what tranny it is at all - But on the door plate it says "W56"- but nothing more.
He said the only way they knew(besides if you knew the sub-model) was by measuring the flywheel size - there is a very slight difference in diameter.
Even peering into the little access panel behind the flex plate dosn't really show enough to measure...

yeah, I will try calling the local Toy dealership w/ VIN in hand and have them look it up.However my fear there is, trying to get the info I need will be like pulling teeth. E.g. they can give me a Toyota part #, but unless they have the diameter spec (very unlikely) that's a dead end... unless I can get them to somehow look up the analogous part for a '91 and a '94 to compare...

And yeah I'm not surprised mine is considered a '93, prob 1 of the first, but I don't know if the part REALLY changed in 9/2, or 10/92...
