Naturally, as with any engine swap from different manufacturers, there would be quite an amount of work to be done.

I purely thought of SR20 as it is a similar size as the Kia engine, but has a plethora of aftermarket spares available.

I am only at the research stage at this point, and I thought I would throw the idea out to some other Kia owners and get some feedback.

I have looked through this forum and see that the FE has quite a few good things going for it.
It would be more worthwhile to just modify the existing powerplant. But lack of Mazda piston engine "experts" in Brisbane is quite a hurdle. They all seem to be obsessed with rotaries!
