The automatic transmission selector lever in my 95 Sportage is really difficult to shift into Park. I've got to put a lot of effort into it, and it feels like it's either binding or sticking on something. It will shift into all forward gears and reverse smoothly, though. My mechanic says nothing can be done about it. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this aside from the 300,000 miles on the odometer?
