timing belt to tight


I wasn't aware this was likely - I simply let the spring put tension on the belt and then tightened the bolt. The spring as well as the idler are new. I'll have to think about that one for awhile... Keep in mind that it doesn't do it while idling or taking off slowly - only when the engine is accelerated a little - slightly more than feathering it off idle.

I can't help but think it might be something else, but I'm not ignoring your advice...
